Prayer

No, there is no need to repeat the prayer. Once the conditions are met and the pillars are fulfilled, the acceptability of your prayer remains unaffected.

It's worth noting that the ruling on reciting aloud or quietly is that it is 'mustahaab' or recommended. Therefore, if you were to recite one of the loud prayers quietly or vice versa, there is no wrongdoing, and your prayer remains valid.

However, I would like to emphasize that it is highly recommended to adhere to the original guidance – praying the quiet prayers with a subdued voice and the loud prayers with a louder voice. This practice has the potential to earn you greater rewards, in sha Allah.

And Allah knows best.

The ideal approach is for one to make up the missed prayer or a prayer that needs to be performed outside of its prescribed time, and then proceed to offer the current prayer. By doing so, we honor the sequence of prayers as commanded by Allah.

An exception to this guideline arises when the time for the current prayer is on the verge of concluding. In this scenario, what you need to do, is to prioritize the performance of the current prayer within its allocated time, followed by the completion of the missed prayer. This exception acknowledges the principle that it is more preferable to pray a single prayer outside of its designated time than to miss two consecutive prayers.

Akhee, rest assured that there is an enormous amount of reward for leading the brothers in the prayer, Though we must understand that there are conditions to who can and can not led the prayer. Moreover, there are narrations that explain to us who has the most right to lead the prayer in different situations. The narration that the first group of brothers were pointing to is talking about the fact that the man of the house has the most right to lead the prayer in his domain, when he is able to do so legislatively. This does not mean though that it is impermissible in any way to be led in the prayer in his own home. Rather, there are other narrations that “The people should be led in prayer by the one who has most knowledge of the Book of Allah; if they are equal in knowledge of the Quran, then by the one who has most knowledge of the Sunnah” This shows the situation of the one that has the most right in all situations, and when they are equal then what the next qualifier should be. Then this situation of being the one that is the owner of the home is not unrestricted, but this takes place after the qualifiers are met. Though I want you to keep in mind that the original point is that the first situation was not talking about something that has to be. Therefore, even if these qualifiers are met, it is still not obligatory for the owner of the home to lead the prayer if he does not desire to do so. And Allah knows best.

Hayyak Allah brother. It may be that they were referring to the verse in the quran where Allah states {Verily, the prayer is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours.}, or it may actually be from a hadeeth as well. The information that this individual gave you based on their understanding of this proof is incorrect though, and Allah knows best. If you were actually asleep and were trying to awaken for the prayer and the sleep really did overtake you, then your responsibility is to make it when you awaken. This is due to the statement of the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever forgets a prayer or sleeps and misses it, let him offer it as soon as he remembers, for there is no expiation for it other than that”. I do want to stress though, this is not the case for the one that purposely oversleeps for the prayer, rather the one that was overtaken by their sleep. And Allah knows best.

We need to understand that the issue of praying in your shoes is one of something that is permissible. It is not a command that one is sinning for not carrying out in every prayer. Therefore, the people in the masaajid have the right to request that the people that want to pray there do not enter with their shoes on, thus bringing in things from the outside into the masjid. If it is requested from those entering, then this request needs to be both respected and carried out.

Furthermore, this is not considered to be fighting against the Sunnah. Again, this due to the fact that the issue of praying in ones shoes is not an obligation. Therefore they are not calling you to sin and be disobedient to Allah in their forbidding you from doing so in their Masaajid. And Allah knows best.

Fasting

It's better to fast on Thursday (day before #Arafah) if one is able in this situation, as we can't fast the day of the #Eid (Saturday), although it's not necessary. It is disliked to single out Friday in certain situations, but not #Haram. The fast still counts & the individual is rewarded for their #worship, in sha #Allah.

And Allah knows best.

Congratulations on completing your first Ramadan. May Allah except all of your fasting and other types of worship from you. Allahuma ameen. As far as cologne and other types of fragrances that one wears, then they are not from those things that cause an individual's fast to be rejected. Therefore this is not the reason for having to make up any days during the blessed month of Ramadan. And Allah knows best.

Business

Actually, much of that which is told to the people about what is Islamic and that which is not is quite different than reality. There is an actual dress code in Islam that requires that we wear that which is necessary to completely cover those parts of our bodies that we have been commanded to conceal. There is no particular style that is an obligation upon us to wear. This is why you see, as you go to many Muslim countries and non Muslim countries, that the dress of the Muslims change due to different cultural backgrounds. This is all completely acceptable as long as that which is commanded to be covered is actually covered. Thus, the concept of having to wear the dress of a particular country in order for your clothing to be Islamically acceptable, or according to the Sunnah is an incorrect understanding that needs to be corrected. And Allah knows best.

Marriage

Islam came and gave the woman her rights, so much so that no one has the privilege of stripping them away from her except that there is some text allowing them to do that in certain circumstances. This is one of those issues. The woman's dowry is hers when she gets married to do with it what she will. Neither her family, nor her husband has any right over that money. If she gives them anything from it is has to be out of the kindness of her heart, and not do to any right Islamically not one given to them by their cultures practiced in their countries. And Allah knows best.

Crime and Punishment

Akhee, what needs to be done is that you should warn those in your community to fear Allah and stop trying to establish something that they have no right nor power to establish. This punishment that you are asking about is something that only the Muslim Ruler or one that he places to take his place in upholding this responsibility. Being as though you live in a non Muslim land, this condition does not exist. Therefore there is nothing from the Quran and Sunnah that allows this to be established where you reside. This is something that must be avoided. And Allah knows best.

Miscellaneous

Different countries have different laws that are enforced in their court systems. What you should do is have the Imam of the community that your ex husband frequents so that he can explain to him that there is no legal document that can take away rights that Allah has given the Mother and Father religiously. It needs to be explained that we can not oppress one another with issues such as this one, and we must allow our default to be that which is given in the Quran and the Sunnah, and not that which opposes this, whenever possible. And Allah knows best.

It is absolutely not permissible for you to use your brothers money without his permission. What you have described here is a trust and not a loan. Therefore, you will need his permission to take from the money. Otherwise, you are required by Islam, to give exactly what he gave you as a trust back to him or whomever he has named as the benefactors of what he has left. And Allah knows best.

It is not permissible for us to consume that which Allah has forbidden for us to consume, even it is shown that these are actual cures. The only time that it is permissible to use as an exception to the rule is when it is the only possible solution, and if someone does not take it, they will die for sure. Other than this, we as Muslims, should never move toward that which Allah has made impermissible, except out of dire necessity, when there is no other option. And Allah knows best.

There is nothing wrong with doing on the ‘eid that which will cause happiness in the hearts of the Muslims. This is not only for the children, but also for adults. Causing joy and happiness between the Muslims is something that is praiseworthy and should be done during the ‘eid and other than that. And Allah knows best.

This is actually not correct. There is not one particular color that you must wear in order to be considered to be practicing that which was mentioned in the Sunnah. The issue behind what can and cannot be worn by a Muslim woman as an outer covering is just that it should not be colors that draw people's attention to her. So, while you should not wear a rainbow colored hijab, with many bright colors, you are not restricted to wearing all black and nothing else being acceptable legislatively. And Allah knows best.

While it is true that Muslims do not keep dogs as pets in normal circumstances. This is not something that makes or breaks an individual's Islam. It is a sin from other sins that we have been told to stay away from. Yet, we understand that our Religion teaches us that these, just like other sins, do not cause us to leave Islam.

We have to be very careful about making statements like this, as many people understand from it that they either have to give up what they love or that they can not be Muslim. They think that they have to choose between what they love or entering into Islam. Where in actuality, they can have both at the same time, and as their belief gets stronger, move away from those things that have been prohibited. It must be made clear to them that these things are forbidden in Islam, but in no way negates an individual's Islam, as some may believe. And Allah knows best.

This is a misconception that many people have fallen victim to due to the fact that those spreading it being unaware of different Islamic Terminologies. There is a difference between the word ‘halaal’ and ‘thaabiha’. The term ‘thaabiha’ means that the animal was killed in a way that was legislated in the Islamic tradition. We need to understand though, that this is not the only food that was permissible to eat is that which is ‘thaabiha’. There are many types of food that one can eat that do not hold this description. Therefore, unless the food that your parents are giving you falls into those categories that are considered to be ‘haraam’ (impermissible) than it is alright for a Muslim to eat. And Allah know best.
